Google has been my friend today, as He always is. There are 72.1 million hits for the search term “make money online”, and I must say there are some easy and laidback ways to earn a buck or two. Apparently, all you need is some goodwill, an internet connection and a laptop.
Here are a few of my findings today;
Ebay – no further introduction needed! Although I find it wildly interesting that there’s an online garage sale with the world as potential buyers, I don’t actually have anything to sell. In fact, I don’t even have a garage or storage room. Not even a tiny little shed.
Elance.com – you have a skill, someone needs your skill for a job, you bid on job. You get job, you do the job, you get paid – business as usual. A site that allows you to use your skill set, and get paid, could potentially be a great steppingstone. You have to take a test before you’re allowed in as an Expert – I’ll try this first thing tomorrow.
Affiliate Marketing – you’re basically setting up someone else’s shop on your website. The money-making occurs when a buyer use the link on your site to buy a product. There’s a website about this, affiliatetips.com. Will read up on this!
So much to do – so little time! At least today – Friday night is rapidly approaching. OK, ‘rapidly’ might be pushing it, but you know what I mean ;-) I've got some serious catching up to do tomorrow. Until then… have a great Friday night!

It usually surprises people to know that eBay has made it possible for me to give my kids all the things I never had.
ReplyDeleteI got into it about a year and a half ago. I was just hoping to make some extra money for Christmas. I sold the crap around my house that I didn't want or use.
Amazingly it all sold for pretty decent prices. But then I was out of crap to sell. So I started going to yard sales and thrift stores. The main thing I sell is books. There's a thrift store close to where I live that does 20 cent Fridays on books. So I go buy up all the books that are in good shape and sell them on eBay for 2-20 dollars. Pretty nice profit for just shoving it in a bubble envelope and throwing a label on it.
Doing eBay has made it so I can be a SAHM. With the money I make I can afford groceries, gas, clothes for three kids, birthdays, christmas, etc. My man uses his paycheck to pay the bills and the rest is his to play with. Everything else comes from eBay income.
Wow, that’s so cool! Imagine having your second income from eBay - you’ve really turned it into something great for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the relieve you must feel to be able to make money, and still take care of your kids. Do you spend hours on it daily, or have you worked it into a daily routine?
Well, Friday and Saturday mornings are spent at thrift stores and yard sales. I do all my listings on Sundays. And package everything up to be mailed on Thursdays. So in all it's about 12 hours a week Thur-Sun.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a bigger space to store more things I would probably do it alot more but as it is right now eBay has taken over most of my dining room.
The best part is that it doesn't sound like actual work, you know. It sounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWell, yeah, and then there's the dining room - hehe! Luckily it's books. So if you're having ppl over you can put them somewhere they fit in, and say that you've been reading a lot lately ;) Would've been worse if it was... rocks. Or animals. ;D
